from the top of a hill the angle of depression of two consecutive 1 km stones due west are found to be 30 and 45 degrees . find the height of the hill

Could you please clarify the condition "two consecutive 1 km stones due west"?  Does this mean that the first stone is 1 km due west and the second stone is 2 km due west?
