Let's establish variables for our convenience:
Samantha's share = S
Lauren's share = L
Jerry's share = J
Value of Lauren's share = V
Then we get S = 50, L = 70, and J = 30.
Since there is no dollar value given, let's assume that 1 share = 50 dollars.
Then the value of Lauren's share will be the following:
V = 50(L) = 50(70) = 3500 dollars.
If we set the variable of 1 share in dollar amount to D, then:
V = LD
However, because the problem statement has not enough information to actually solve the problem, there are many possibilities depending on how you assume things, just like I did.
