1. We are assuming that Jamie used 1/2 of what was left of of the first spool and there was no other spool;
4/5 * 1/2 = 4/10, or 2/5 is what was left
2. If indeed another spool existed;
then what would be left is 4/5 + 1/2 = 1 + 3/10
So in either case Jamie's claim would be incorrect/unreasonable.
