They're similar triangles.

The ratios of corresponding sides are all the same.

HK:DF = KM:FG

9:6 = 8.4:GF

Write the ratios as fractions, cross multiply and solve for GF

 

9 / 6 = 8.4 / GF

(9)(GF) = (6)(8.4)

GF = (6)(8.4) / 9

GF = 5.6
