Let "TU" represent the number, where T is the tens digits & U is the units digit.
a) T > U
b) T + U = 11
c) "TU" - "UT" = 27...i.e. 10T+U - (10U+T) = 27.
"Show all your work. Do not use algebra." I have set it up and I would use Algebra, because that's what Algebra is for.
Without Algebra, you have to do trial & error. That's for you to do--personally I think Algebra is COOL.
