Question is : Margie is responsible for buting a weeks supply of food and medication and a shelter. The food and medication for each dog costs twice as much as those supply's for a cat. She needs to feed 164 cats and 24 dogs. Her budget is 4240. How much can Margie spend in each dog for food and medication.

Let C = cost to feed cats and D= cost to feed dogs.
From the problem it costs twice as much to feed dog as cat so D= 2C
she can spend 4240 And has 164 cats and 24 dogs so
164C + 24D must be less than 4240
