mix is 1/4 c.lemonade, 1/12 c. cranberry, 1 c. orange 

 

in 1 C. of mix, what fraction is orange?

Total is one fourth plus one twelfth plus one.  Simplify that, using a common denominator; call this result D. It's an improper fraction.

 

The fraction of the mix that is orange is 1/D.  (To divide BY an improper fraction, MULTIPLY the numerator by the RECIPROCAL of D.)

 

Answer will be 3/4.
