f(x) = 0.0232x2 - 2.28x + 60.0
The function is an upward opening parabola.
The minimum occurs are the vertex.
The x value is -(-2.28)/2(0.0232), or
2.28 / 0.0464, or
49.137931
Can you calculate the minimum rate?
Holly C.
honestly your answer kind of confused me. so is 49.137931 the age the the accident rate is a minimum? I don't know what they mean by minimum rate...
