A diagram would go a long way. But from what you've given, seems like the triangle is an isosceles triangle give two sides are equal. where AC and BC are the equal sides then AB the other side. Where do q, r,s & t come from and what are they meant to be?

True! Given points ABC could q, r, s & t be the lengths and height? Say point AB = q, BC = r and AC = s where t is the height.
