It turns out that, according to a relationship called Wien's law, the peak of the emission spectrum of the Sun occurs in the visible wavelength region. We can then say the peak emission must be the color the Sun appears to our eye (when we can safely look at it, or take an image of it). That should point toward a particular one of the answers you listed.
