If four and one eighth pounds of beans cost 51 cents, how much would 5 and one half pounds cost?

(4 1/8 lb )/ .51 = (5 1/2 lb)/ X. Set it up like a proportion then cross multiply. 0.51x5.5= 4.125xX. Then divide so X is by itself. (0.51X5.5)/ 4.125 =X. X is the cost. .68
