Could not not find the square root it should be read as negative square root of 100.

√100 = 100^1/2
By order of operations, PEMDAS, exponents are done before
multiplication or division so we first do the square root.
Also:  Note that √100 = ±10 because
(-10)² = 100  and  10² = 100
 
-√100 = -(±10)

Thus we have either -(10) = -10

                     OR    -(-10) = 10

 

Final answer:  ±10
