Your company uses the quadratic model y = -4.5x2 + 150x to represent the average number of new customers

Your company uses the quadratic model y = -4.5x2 + 150x to represent the average number of new customers who will be signed on (x) weeks after the release of your new service. How many new customers can you expect to gain in week 8?

Just for grins:  Had you been asked to find the maximum number of
new customers and at how many weeks that total would be reached,
you would do the following:

This graphs as a parabola opening downward, so the maximum number
of new customers will equate to the y value of the vertex.
Find the x value of the vertex, plug that value into the equation and
solve for y

The x value of the vertex is at x=-b/2a from quadratic
b = 150, a=-4.5

-b/2a = -150/-4.5 = 50/3 or 16 2/3 weeks

y=-4.5(50/3)2 + 150(50/3) = 1250

The maximum number of new customers will be 1,250
achieved at 16 2/3 weeks.

Note:  I accidentally put -4.5 instead of -9 in the part
-b/2a = -150/2(-4.5) = -150/-9 = 50/3 or 16 2/3 weeks.
