Help me please.

Covert the angle to decimal degrees and round to the nearest hundredth of a degree. 47°4'26"

Degrees are divided like hours, minutes, and seconds....
There are 60 minutes per degree and 60 seconds per minute...
Thus there are 60(60) = 3600 seconds per degree
 
That is how Mark worked the problem.
 
4'26" = 4/60 + 26/3600 degrees
4/60 + 26/3600 = 266/3600 degrees = .074 degrees
 
Thus your total angle is 47.074 degrees
