"Parallel" means same slope. Our line is y=3x-4 has slope m=3. So, our new line should also have slope m=3; we can immediately eliminated choices C and D.

 

We can write our line y = 3x+b, and we can use the point given (3,2) to solve for b. 

 

2 = 3*3 + b

b = -7

 

The required line is y = 3x - 7, choice B.
