Step One: We can either convert the 750 grams to .750 kilograms or convert the 2.5 kilograms given to 2500 grams. If we want to work with whole numbers we can solve as follows. 

Step Two: Total popcorn-Amount of popcorn eaten=How much popcorn is left

2500grams-750grams=1750grams

∴Ian has 1750 grams of popcorn left.
