On a baseball field, it is 90 feet between bases. Determine the distance from home plate to second base. Then determine if this is the same as the distance from third base to first base.

The baseball 'diamond' is in reality a square. The diagonals of a square are equal in length. Since the triangle with vertices at home, first base & second base is isosceles, the diagonal (home to 1B) must be 90√2 ft. This equals 127.28 feet.
