Mark the given expressions on LM & ON; since these are opposite sides, which are congruent, we have 5x+3 = 8x-6.  That leads to x = 3.

 

Next, find that MN = x+5 = 8 and this equals the opposite side OL, also known as having length 5y-7. Consequently y = 3 also.
