Solving equation with fractions

Hi, I need help with this equation : 3x—1/3 = x/x—1 —x

I assume that on the right side of = you have x / (x-1) - 1

 

A very good technique for this equation is to clear fractions multiply all terms (both sides) by 3(x-1). This will eliminate all denominators.  You will then have a quadratic equation, and you can solve that by techniques known to you.
