Thank you! so how would I find out the theoretical yield of CuO?

1.3 grams is the theoretical yield. The theoretical yield is strictly determined by stoichiometry and limiting reagent. The percent yield would be the actual yield (usually given from an experiment) divided by the theoretical yield.
