Chris, in one hour, Martha will get 1/6 of the leaves raked and her brother will rake 1/3. Together they'll rake 1/x of the leaves.

 

1/6 + 1/3 = 1/x

1/6 + 2/6 = 1/x

           3/6 = 1/x

                x = 2
