our expression becomes:

Step 2 combine all like terms to get

1/8v³ - 94v³ - 1/3v²  + 1v² - 2v - 1/4v + 2/3

which becomes

-93 7/8v³  + 2/3v² - 2 1/4v + 2 2/3
