Find the volume, in cubic millimeters, of a stack of 24 CD's. Use 3.14 for pie. Round your answer to to the nearest tentg.

Volume=Area*height.

 

Area of each CD=Outer Area of the CD - Inner Area of the Hole in the CD

 

Area=3.14*(60² - 7.5²) or 11,127.4 square meters

 

Volume=11, 127.4*1.1*24 or 293,762.7 cubic mm.  The factor of 24 represents the 24 CD's.
