Mean = [Σx_i] / 10; add the numebers and divide by 10.

 

To get the variance you can use this formula:

 

[Σ(x_i - mean)² ] / 10 so you must subtract the mean from each value (one at a time) square that result add those results and divide by 10.

 

The the stand.dev. is the square root of the variance.

             is the same:

 

              (22+66+1515+33+12212+88+1313+99+22+77)=4447

 

             N=10

             

             Mean=  4447

                   Mean= 444.70

 

                Range= (Largest number minus smallest number) = 1515-22   =   1493

 

               Standard Deviation =  Range

                                                 = 1493

                                                =373.25  =Standard Deviation         

 

                             Variance =  (standard Deiviation)^2    =  (373.25)^2   =  139,315.56
