log(8-1/3) = log[(23)-1/3]
= log(2-1)
= log(1/2)
8-1/3 = 1/81/3 = 1/(23)1/3 = 1/2 (since 23 = 2*2*2 = 8)
so log(8-1/3) = log(1/2)
