If I want to define x with a positive number, I would pick 2, as it is the smallest and easiest to start with.

2²=8 now adding 5 to the number I started with, so it would be 5+2=7,

now squaring the result, which is 7²=49,

adding 7 to the original number which is 2+7=9.

now dividing by 3, gives me 3. 

 

So, the final answer in my solution is 3.
