Question

In Rhombus JKLM, diagonals JL and KM intersect at O. If the measure of angle KJL is 32, find every angle in the diagram.

Draw the rhombus. Its diagonals JL and MK are perpendicular. So in angle KJL (same as angle KJO), write 32 degrees.

In right triangle KJO, its other acute angle is the complement of 32 degrees, namely 58 degrees.

 

There are four congruent right triangles in this figure, and all measures can be easily computed from the above facts.

 

NOTE The diagonals of any rhombus are perpendicular.
