19x² - 18x = 0 we can simplify the equation by first factoring out the x. Therefore we will have:

 

x(19x - 18) = 0. From here we can say that 

 

x = 0 

 

OR

 

19x - 18 =0

=> x = 18/19

 

We can check our answers by seeing if we still get zero after replacing x with our results. 

 

1) x = 0

=> 19(0)² - 18(0)

= 0 

 

2) x = 18/19

=> 19(18/19)² - 18(18/19)

= 18²/19 - 18²/19

= 0
