Cool so the first thing we do is interchange X and y

 

x = 4y + (2/3)

 

now we we need to make y the subject of the above equation

 

4y = X - (2/3)

 

4y = (3x-2)/3

 

y = (3x-2)/12

 

y= X/4 - 1/6
