Since Omar read 3/5 of his book at first, we multiply 100 pages x (3/5)=60 pages. So we know that he has 40 pages remaining because he read 60 of the 100 pages. Then, we multiple (3/4) x 40 (the remaining pages) to understand how many of those 40 he read which is 30 pages. We add up 30+60 pages (total amount he read) and we get 90 pages in total. Hope this helps! If you ever need a tutor, I tutor in Syosset by the way on weekends!
