A 2.17kg block slides down a smooth, frictionless plane having an inclination of 28 degrees. Acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2 and answer in units of m/s^2

The only component we need to worry about is the horizontal eight component since there is no friction to worry about 

 

so our F = mass * acceleration

 

would look like

 

mg sin 28 = ma

 

a = g sin 28

 

a = 9.8 sin 28

 

= 9.8 (0.4694)

= 4.600 m/s^2

= 4.6
