Hello Shakur. To solve 4/7 * 14/12 there are actually two ways you can simplify this expression.
First way is that you reduce before multiplying. Since 7 is in the denominator and 12 is in the nominator they can reduce down and expression will be 4/1 * 2/12 than you can do the same thing with 4 and 12 and expression will look like 1/1 * 2/ 3 than you can simply cross multiply which gives you your answer 2/3.
Another way of solving this expression is to multiply first and then reduce it. 4/7 * 14/12 you can simply cross multiply; therefore, you will end up with 56/ 84 than you can take each step to reduce it; however, 28 goes into both of those  28 * 2 / 28 * 3 and when you can cross 28 and will get your answer 2/3.
In my opinion first method is easier and less likely to make mistakes. I hope it helps you.
Thank you.

4/7 * 14/12

4*1 = 4              7*1 = 7
4*3 = 12            7*2 = 14

so you end up with 1/1 * 2/3

2/3 (your answer)
