How do I set up to solve a algebraic word problen

Question

Susan is buying 3 different colors of of tiles for her kitchen floor . She is buying twenty five more red tiles then beige tiles and three times as many navy blue tiles as beige tiles.If Susan buys 435 tiles altogether, how many tiles of each color does she buy ?

b represents number of beige tiles

b + 25 represents number of red tiles

3b represents number of navy tiles

 

b + b + 25 + 3b = 435                combine like terms

5b + 25 = 435                            subtract 25 from both sides

5b = 410                                     divide both sides by 5

b = 82

 

She bought 82 beige tiles.

 

How many of the other tiles did she buy?
