No, answer is not correct, you can not add/subtract fractions unless they have the SAME NUMERATOR:
28 would be the common denominator.
Convert so all fractions have common denominator
20/28 n - 6/28 = 14/28
5/7 n - 3/14 = 1/2
7 goes into 28 four times (4); 4 * 5 = 20.
14 goes into 28 two times (2); 2 * 3 = 6
2 goes into 28 fourteen times (14); 14 * 1 = 14
Add 6/28 to both sides
20/28n - 6/28 + 6/28 = 14/28 + 6/28
20/28n = 20/28
Now you can multiply the reciprocal to each side (28/20)
Since they are the same 20/28, n = 1
