Ratio of men to women

the ratio of men to women in a certain factory is 3:4. There are 198 men. How many workers are there ?

3/4 = 198/w - w is number of women

 

3w = 4(198)= 792 means w = 264

 

total number of workers is 198 + w = 198+264= 462
