i know im bad at math and writing

Question

my mom and i will work for 10 dollars an hour,i for 10-13 hours and my mom work for 8-10 hours through monday- friday how much will i make in one week?

 

p.s my mom told me she make 3600 in one week and i did the math and it said that ill make 500-600 a week which is off and yes i know im bad at math

Hi Carolina,

 

If you work Monday through Friday that's 5 days. If you worked for 10 hours each day that would be a total of 50 hours per week, however, if you worked for 13 hours per day that would be a total of 65 hours per week. 

 

If you work 50 hours a week and make $10/hour you would make $500 in a week.

 

If you work 65 hours a week and make $10/hour you would make $650 in a week.

 

To calculate the amount earned we multiplied the number of days worked by the number of hours worked per day by the hourly rate or it could be represented mathematically as:

 

(# of days) X (# of hours worked per day) X (hourly wage) = amount earned
