All lines are straight line. I think you might mean either horizontal or vertical. Anytime you have an equation in y=b, where c is a constant, the line is horizontal. For x=a, where a is a constant, the line is always vertical. One thing I tell students to remember is that if an equation doesn't have an "x", then it doesn't have an x-intercept (has to be parallel to x-axis). If it doesn't have a "y", it doesn't have a y-intercept.

asked 04/26/15need graph for banker situation.
a local bank has a debit card. I have to graph the equations from both problems X=50 and y=0.03. I think it is a straight line, but I need to use a scale of 25 for the x axis.
