What if you write it like this:
pi * 25 * 12
3
When you multiply by 1/3 it is the same as dividing by 3. Since multiplication and division are on the same level in Order of Operations, you can see that 12/3 = 4. So the problem becomes:
pi * 25 * 4 = pi * 100 which is approx 314 since pi is approximately 3.14. Check to see how many decimals you need to round to in your answer.
