Higher temperatures cause reactant molecules to move faster, leading to more frequent and forceful collisions. What that means is that an increase in temperature almost always increases the rate of the chemical reaction.
Essentially temperature helps reactant particles have sufficient kinetic energy in order to overcome the activation energy.
