Thu, colors show important patterns; For example, red shows passion, energy, and agression. Blue shows calmness, trustfulness, or sadness. Yellow show cheerfulness, and anxiety if over-used. Green shows growth, balance, and discovery. Black exhibits power, mystery, or death. White is marked by purity, or death. The use of color sets the stage for cultural events. The concepts of rituals, celebrations, rituals form patterns of habits, associations that form a symolic valus, and these factors play a significant role in the psyche, as does music and emotions, which can be triggered in the patterns of setting, time, place, and affect, or emotional behavior. According to Ruth Benedict (1887-1948), an U. S. A. anthropologist and Margaret Mead (1901- 1978) an U.S.A. anthropologist both developed the theories of cultural events, traditions, and events, associated with religions, rituals, and music followed symbolic rituals or patterned rites that fit celebrations, cultural patterns, that determined a tribe's cultural habitus or costume or dress. This costume demonstrated (Latin word, habitus)suggested that one's rank, status, identity was a determinant identiy marker, Clothes, colors, hair designs, jewelry, shoes, and hats, helmets, swords, weapontry was one rank in society. The person wore the dress of his or her professon. Worker wore brown or tan, and artisans wore beige, tan, or earth tones. Nuns and Clerics wore black. Royalty wore whigs, silk stockings, and high heels. Soldiers wor shields, carved sword, and helmets. Poets wore lively colors, motley. Fools painted themseves, and mocked royalty. Music inspired romantic artists to commit suicide, or to drown themselves into melancholy, or murderous rage.
