What is the difference between affect and effect?
Affect is uaually a verb meaning to influence or impact.
Example 1: The rain affected our plans for the picnic.
Example 2: Her illness affeced he ability to work.
Effect is a noun meaning a change or final result or consequence.
Example 1: The effect of the rain was a canceled baseball game.
Example 2: The drought has had a devastating effect on the local farmers.
How to remember when to use affect and effect:
A is for action (affect)
E is for end result (effect)
