The nurse should double check the order with the prescriber and with the pharmacist as there is potentially an error with dosing.
I would first check the order again along with my calculation to ensure I have the dosage correct. If my calculations were correct I would contact pharmacy to see if the medication could be dispensed in a higher dose to avoid administering 10 tablets/dose.

I'd check my math against the order and make sure everything matches along with double checking the med packaging to assure its the correct thing. Then I would check with pharmacy to see what dosages are available in formulary for the med. Lastly Id call the doctor to see if we could use a higher strength buy lower number or tablets if needed. If you need more than 2 pills it pays to triple check, even ask another nurse for a second set of eyes to be sure.12/02/23
