I am a master reading teacher, having spent 5 years under the tutelage of Joanne McEachen, Ministry of Education leader from New Zealand. Having this extensive reading training, I became the resident "reading expert" at my school. My principal at the time requested that I take the primary reading intervention position, where I focused on teaching reading to our primary students who struggled in the area of reading (grades K-2nd). Shortly after, I was asked to take on the dyslexia position. I received my BLS certification in Books 1 and 2. I am certified to teach students with dyslexia in grades 1-5.
