The average rate of change is fastest towards the end of an experiment
The rate of chemical reaction typically slows as the reaction proceeds. The rate of a reaction really boils down to the likelyhood of the reactants colliding with each other. The better the chance of hitting the better the chance of the reaction occurring. As the reaction proceeds the amount of products increases while the amount of reactants decrease. Therefore, it is harder for the reactants to find each other and collide.
Also from a test taking point of view: the correct answer must be one of the two last statements because they are opposites of each other. Only one of the statements can be true! This eliminates the first three statesments from being an answer.
