classify the following

Classify the following reactions as synthesis, decomposition, single displacement, double displacement, precipitation, acid-base neutralization, oxidation-reduction, or combustion. Each reaction can be classified with more than one of these terms.

Hg(l)+S(s)⟶HgS(s)

Fe(s)+Cu(C2H3O2)2(aq)⟶Cu(s)+Fe(C2H3O2)2(aq)

Pb(NO3)2(aq)+2KI(aq)⟶PbI2(s)+2KNO3(aq)

2K(s)+2H2O(l)⟶2KOH(aq)+H2(g)

H2SO4(aq)+Mg(OH)2(aq)⟶2H2O(l)+MgSO4(aq)

C8H16(l)+12O2(g)⟶8CO2(g)+16H2O(g)

Can you explain why they are incorrect?

I'm not sure why but the system is marking them as incorrect. It could be that there is more than one classification for the reactions it's marking as incorrect

For the first reaction, just use synthesis and see if that gives you correct answer.

still incorrect. the correct answers for the second reaction is single displacement and oxidation-reduction and the correct answers for the fourth reaction is also oxidation-reduction and single displacement. Aside from these two and the third reaction, the rest are incorrect

Reactions 1, 2, 4 and 6 are oxidation-reduction as well. Reaction 5 is also double displacement.
