Considering the totality of effects, I would say so-called "Climate Change". Africa uses 6% of the energy we use and yet we are stalling their progress by trying to stifle fossif-fuel use. Immoral as can be. And the overall cost of all this nonsense is an astronomical waste.

There are a lot of social issues that you can argue about. Check out websites like Isidewith, Gallup, or the Pew Research Center. These websites have a ton of information about many different ethical issues today. Some examples include gun control, abortion, affirmative action, criminal justice reform, equal pay, etc.
