If Jupiter is 318x bigger than Earth, why is the surface gravity also not 318x stronger than Earths?

Does bigger equate to anything about mass? Isn't there some additional property (hint: it has the symbol Greek rho, which looks a little like a "p") that needs to be included?

Just think: If this were true about people, the biggest people would be the most attractive!? Isn't true about people, either, is it.
