Let x = smaller odd integer

 

x+2 = next odd integer

 

 

3x - 1 = 2(x+2)    ( smaller tripled is one more than twice the larger

 

3x -1 = 2x + 4

 

3x = 2x + 5

 

x = 5

 

x+2 = 7
