Molarity is moles of a substance over liters of a substance.
M=mol/L
So if you have grams of NaOH you can get moles.
Atomic weight of NaOH: Na 22.989 + O 16.00+ H 1.01
Total: 39.999g/mol
80g*1mol/39.999g, grams cancel top to bottom and you have 2mol of NaOH.
Now you need the correct volume in liters.
You are given 2000ml
1000ml= 1L
2000ml*1L/1000ml, mL cancel top to bottom and you have 2L.
So you have 2mol/2L of NaOH.
This would give you a Molarity solution of 1M.
Option 2 or B would be the correct choice.
