Force of friction = N where µ=.05 ... N=normal force of suitcase on to floor and = 50(9.81) - 250sin65=264 Newtons. Thus f = .05*265= 13.2 Newtons. The resultant force to move the suitcase is 250cos65-13.2 = 92.5 Newtons thus the acc = 92.5/50=1.85 m/s2

A 50kg suitcase is being pulled across a level floor by a force of 250 N at an angle of 65 above the horizontal. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the suitcase and the floor is .05. Can you help me find the acceleration?
